A question for you Mr Ponds Man, What do you think about the relationship between music and bananas? I've noticed this theme running through your blog and I thought you may have an opinion on the matter.

That's a tough one to answer. It's actually something very personal.

... the truth is, when I was a small child a visiting troupe of entertainers came to my village. I was wide-eyed with wonder at Lothar the fire-eater, and Narda the two-headed woman. But the final performance will stay with me until my dying breath. The curtains parted, and, lit only by a 44 gallon drum fire, a giant beast slowly dragged itself before our shocked faces. It coughed and spluttered, phlegm spattering onto the dusty fairground. Then, something quite magical happened. It raised its yellow face, opened its mouth, and sang a slow-building, incredibly moving version of Pearl Traylor's "Three Ball Sam (The Pawn Shop Man)".

So, you know, singing banana and all that. Also, I put some nougat in my nostril with my elbow.
